PRESENT SIMPLE --> Subject+is/are/am+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: People use cars all over the world

  • PASSIVE: Cars are used all over the world

  • Los coches son utilizados (se utilizan) en todo el mundo.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS --> Subject+is/are/am+being+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: She is writing a letter now

  • PASSIVE: A letter is being written now

  • Se estĆ” escribiendo una carta ahora (Una cartas estĆ” siendo escrita ahora)

PAST SIMPLE --> Subject+was/were+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: They built this building 50 years ago

  • PASSIVE: This building was built 50 years ago

PAST CONTINUOUS --> Subject+was/were+being+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: Tomas was fixing your car

  • PASSIVE: Your car was being fixed by Tomas

  • Tu coche estaba siendo arreglado por TomĆ”s.

PRESENT PERFECT --> Subject +have/has+been+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: A dog has bitten me

  • PASSIVE: I have been bitten by a dog

  • He sido mordido por un perro

PAST PERFECT --> Subject +had+been+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: They had stolen a watch

  • PASSIVE: A watch had been stolen

WILL / MODALS --> Subject+MODAL+be+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: John will watch this film

  • PASSIVE: This film will be watched by John

  • Esta pelĆ­cula serĆ” vista por John

BE GOING TO --> Subject+am/is/are+going+to+be+Past Participle

  • ACTIVE: Your friends are going to buy a TV

  • PASSIVE: A TV is going to be bought by your friends.

  • Una televisión va a ser comprada por tus amigos.
